Brooch Legong dancer

The Legong Dance was believed to be created from King of Sukawati (1775- 1825), I Dewa Agung Made Karna’s, dream during a state of meditation where he saw angels in heaven dancing with gold headdresses. This pendant represents the Legong dancer. Traditionally, Legong was only for royal entertainment performed by young girls and are regarded highly in society. Today, it is widely performed in cultural events.
