South Sulawesi is under the right feett of the island of Sulawesi which is shaped similar to the letter K. This province has 2 large kingdoms, namely the kingdom of Gowa and the kingdom of Bone. In the territory of the kingdom of Gowa, the majority of the population is of the Makassar ethnic group, and in the territory of the kingdom of Bone, the population is of the Bugis ethnic group, but generally abbreviated as the Makassar Bugis ethnic group, most of whom are Muslim.
In addition to the largest ethnic group, there are also other tribes such as the Toraja, Chinese, Massenrempulu and Konjo tribes with different languages and customs.The population living in South Sulawesi totals around 6 million people who live in land with an area of 1.4 million hectares with local revenue of around 4 trillion rupiah with an economic growth rate of above 4 percent per year in 2021.This province relies on agriculture, fishing and trade as well as mining.
In agriculture it has cocoa, rice, sugar, coffee, pepper, coconut and corn. In the field of fisheries, it is an area with the most types of fish including the best seaweed in the world. In the field of services and trade, it has various facilities such as the largest seaport and airport in eastern Indonesia which are connected to the port airport toll road and the inner city toll road.It is the desire of the South Sulawesi Provincial Government to become an INACRAFT 2023 icon as the right step to introduce art, creative and cultural works to the people of Indonesia and abroad.
South Sulawesi has a lot of potential and advantages that can become a driving force for the regional economy and encourage investment for the progress of the region. The natural potential of the Lontara country is very exotic and promising, so it needs to be echoed more comprehensively to the public so they are interested in visiting.
On the other hand, the craft or crafts produced are also diverse with extraordinary uniqueness. With the branding “The Authentic South Sulawesi” the provincial government continues to promote Aceh’s tourism, arts and culture not only within the country.The targets and expectations of the South Sulawesi provincial government have certainly motivated us to play a role in building Aceh’s progress through the INACRAFT 2023 exhibition.
On this occasion, we also invite producers, handicraft entrepreneurs and the governmentSouth Sulawesi Province is taking part in promoting Indonesian handicraft creative works at the INACRAFT exhibition which will be held on March 1st – 5th, 2023. at the Jakarta Convention Center Convention Center.

Sulawesi Selatan berada di bawah kaki kanan pulau Sulawesi yang berbentuk mirip dengan huruf “K”. Propinsi ini memiliki 2 kerajaan besar yaitu kerajaan Gowa dan kerajaan Bone. Di wilayah kerajaan Gowa sebagian besar penduduknya bersuku Makassar dan di wilayah kerajaan Bone penduduknya bersuku Bugis, namun umumnya disingkat dengan suku Bugis Makassar yang sebagian besar beragama Islam.
Selain suku terbesar tersebut ada juga suku lain seperti suku Toraja, Tionghoa, Massenrempulu dan Konjo dengan bahasa dan adat yang berbeda-beda.Penduduk yang tinggal di Sulawesi Selatan berjumlah sekitar 6 juta orang yang mendiami lahan dengan luas 1.4 juta hektar dengan pendapatan asli daerah sekitar 4 triliun rupiah dengan tingkat pertumbuhan ekonomi di atas 4 persen per tahunnya pada tahun 2021.
Propinsi ini mengandalkan pertanian, perikanan dan perdagangan serta pertambangan. Di bidang pertanian memiliki cocoa, beras, gula, kopi, lada, kelapa dan jagung. Di bidang perikanan merupakan area yang terbanyak jenis ikannya termasuk rumput lautnya yang terbaik di dunia. Di bidang jasa dan perdagangan memiliki berbagai fasilitas seperti pelabuhan laut dan pelabuhan udara terbesar di kawasan timur Indonesia yang dihubungkan dengan jalan tol pelabuhan airport dan tol dalam kota.
Besarnya keinginan Pemerintah Provinsi Sulawesi Selatan menjadi ikon INACRAFT 2023 sebagai langkah yang tepat memperkenalkan seni, karya kreatif dan budaya kepada masyarakat Indonesia serta mancanegara. Sulawesi Selatan memiliki banyak potensi dan keunggulan yang mampu menjadi motor penggerak roda perekonomian daerah serta mendorong investasi bagi kemajuan daerah tersebut. Potensi alam negeri Lontara ini sangat eksotis dan menjanjikan, maka perlu digaungkan lebih komprehensif kepada masyarakat supaya tertarik berkunjung.
Di sisi lain, seni kriya atau kerajinan yang dihasilkan pun beragam dengan keunikan yang luar biasa. Dengan branding “The Authentic South Sulawesi” pemerintah Provinsi terus menerus melakukan promosi wisata, seni dan budaya Aceh tidak hanya di dalam negeri.Target dan harapan pemerintah provinsi Sulawesi Selatan tentunya memotivasi kami untuk ikut berperan membangun kemajuan Sulawesi Selatan melalui kegiatan pameran INACRAFT 2023. Pada kesempatan ini, kami juga mengajak produsen, pengusaha handicraft bersama pemerintah Provinsi Sulawesi Selatan ikut mengambil bagian mempromosikan karya kreatif handicraft Indonesia di ajang pameran INACRAFT yang akan diselenggarakan tanggal 1 – 5 Maret 2023 di Balai Sidang Jakarta Convention Center.
